IP Address Conguration
Obtain an IP address via DHCP: For DHCP to serve an IP address to the device, check the DHCP option and the click Apply.
When changing your IP address, the following messages may appear. These messages warn that the DHCP server may fail to issue a
new IP address. If this occurs, the last static IP address is applied. Click OK to accept the notication.
When trying to acquire a DHCP served IP address, the following warning may occur. Click Cancel to avoid this conguration
problem.
Manual IP conguration
To use the device with the static IP address, enable the ‘Use the following IP addresses’ and click Apply.
— IP address: The IP address of your device.
— Subnet mask: The address of subnet mask of your device.
— Gateway address: The gateway address of your device.
— Broadcast address: The Broadcast address is automatically xed by the subnet mask and the IP address. For
example, if you use a class B (255.255.0.0) subnet mask, the broadcast address will be 192.168.255.255.
test: The test (“ping”) button shows if the IP address entered is in use or not. If the IP address is in use, do not assign this address to
the device. The test program may take a few minutes to complete.
